In a surprising partnership that defies conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Uncovered

According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of banned practices and fearsome transformations resonate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret cult.

The questline centers on "peculiar trials and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Changes

The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Content

Players who accomplish the adventure will obtain an special katana alongside several artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This update also introduces the game's third no-cost story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
