Jeffrey Epstein acquired a more modest island - the Little St James - back in 1998, but later purchased the larger adjacent island in the year 2016 for approximately $22.5 million.
These photos suggest he had drawn up development schemes to transform the sprawling island by erecting homes, an amphitheatre, an underwater office and a swimming pool.
You can see the plan is a channel, a waterway in the region, indicated on the lower right-hand corner.
The architectural drawing is annotated in red pen markings and features a key identifying different areas of the property.
Accompanying the main plan are what appear to be nine other property layouts and engineering blueprints, such as plans for dock shelters.
